Referencing the graphic in the thread starter, it says "Active Military." I've had GAs, extend that to include veterans, retirees, and even military family members. Whether it's a GA not understanding the difference, not understanding the policy correctly, or knowingly doing their own thing and choosing to include reservists, retirees and/or veterans (perhaps because they themselves are a veteran/retire or family of a military member), it still just seems to come down to what that the particular GA ends up doing for that particular day and flight. As jrl767 would say, "Policy is what's practiced, not what's written."

Gate lice are an almost inevitable consequence at MCO where they have that asinine gate layout at the end of the stub, where up to 5 flights are trying to board in the space most airports have for a single gate. Theres nothing you can do about the ridiculous architecture of those gates, which is why every boarding from there turns into a free for all. I hate it with a fiery passion.

Been on 20+ flights in May / early June and exactly 1 gate agent has followed Deltas new process and called for 360 members to pre-board. They even read the new process and dont follow it, lol Not much of a benefit if Deltas employees dont follow Deltas process.

Im 360 and Im on the flights so no 😎? I really dont care but if Delta is going to announce the changes w/ great fanfare and publish/publicize the new process in e-mails and on their website then their employees should get on board. I thought it was kinda nice that Delta started doing what AA / UA have been doing for years w/ their CK and GS members but their employees either dont know or dont understand the new process.

Proud new member of the Traveling with Infants club. If we are traveling in FC, are we allowed to pre board as "customers needing extra time", will they allow us to board with our zone, or will we be pushed to the "customers with strollers and carseats" group?

Families with infants board after Zones 1 and 2, not during pre-board. So, you would board with Zone 1 (FC), unless you just decided to wait to board later.

We flew last week and really enjoyed the new boarding process. The gate agents were very clear with customers at all four airports (MKE, MSP, IAH, and ATL. Now, Delta just needs to get rid of pre-boarding for military personnel (unless, of course, they expand it to teachers, firefighters, nurses, etc.).

I have flown about 30 legs since May 1 and have only had 360's called prior to first class 3 times. Once was a red coat in SJU. The other two were in ATL. I just wish they would follow their policy if that's the policy.

Yes, their screens show how many are in each boarding group. I have had an agent say "the one person in zone 2, welcome aboard."

Cool. Let's just extend pre-board to everyone! That will actually really simplify the process, by reducing the boarding groups down to one. (But I don't want to risk getting too off-topic again; the pre-boards haven't changed with this new boarding priority.)
I do hope gate agents at all airports become consistent with calling the defined boarding order as-published, and enforcing it. Doing so does really help facilitate a timely and orderly boarding process.
