May 2: More than 102,000 students are enrolled in schools in Chisinau, said deputy mayor of Chisinau municipality Angela Kutasevich. According to her, the number of applications to enroll children in municipal educational institutions in recent years has steadily increased and the school infrastructure has to be therefore extended. The functionary noted that there are 150 schools attended by over 102,000 students in Chisinau. Every year the number of requests to enroll students increases and for this reason the municipality proposed to expand the school infrastructure.

May 2: About 70 parking spaces are being set up in the Great National Assembly Square for drivers who will come to the Resurrection Night service at the Nativity Metropolitan Cathedral, the Chisinau City Hall has said. Drivers will also be able to leave their cars on adjacent streets, on street parking spaces.

It was the oral exam in the Romanian language and literature, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports of Chisinau.

that support the families. They focus on policies to prevent the separation of children from their families, social protection policies for vulnerable families and the elderly, occupational policies and protection of employees in the labor market, but also policies to prevent and combat domestic violence.

May 25: Chisinau’s Directorate General of Education (DGEST) will install disabled access ramps at four municipal institutions after winning a grant from the Embassy of the Czech Republic. DGEST says that many institutions built in the past face a shortage of wheelchair ramps, which makes access difficult for students and teachers with special locomotor needs. The installation of ramps will facilitate access and improve the educational conditions for all children and teachers in these institutions.

May 27: The works to lay out the square on Colina Pushkin Street are coming to an end. This week, the automated irrigation system that will cover the whole square will start to be installed. May 30: The teams involved in the cleaning of the capital city, under the management of the General Housing and Amenities Division, worked uninterruptedly during the night as well to deal with the consequences of the heavy rain that fell on Wednesday afternoon. The public transport stations and sidewalks were meticulously cleaned and a significant amount of sludge was removed from underground passages.
