Excited to share that our team "Golden Eagle" has won second place in the MACH1 FPV drone competition hosted by HTU AeroSquad, with my teammates Hassan Abu Rudwan & Abdullah El-Hiari.I want to thank everyone involved for giving us the opportunity to participate in the first FPV race in Jordan! This was a fun and enticing learning experience and I'm thankful for everything I've learned along the way.You can find the report that we wrote about our experiences and the appropriate info to get into the FPV field as well!Link to the report: https://lnkd.in/e3RUa-bs

This video clip following is of #ROUND-2 of our competition in which in accordance to the criteria of the competition our drone has to flow through the loops without touching the former'edges and shouldn't land anywhere else except the specifically provided breaking points. When our chance came we were very much confident on our drone and our pilot, since our drone's speciality is it's speed, small in size, smoothness throughout the fly and easily flow through loops as its made for the purpose of racing. Unfortunately due to some technical glitches and lag in transmission of signals between the controller and the drone at the end moment when our turn is about to start, we had no other option none other than taking part along with the technical issues and moving ahead. Me and my team were very much contended at the end of the competition that though we didn't won the competition but still we completed the journey of learning new things in the unexplored fields which we started two long months ago with hell a lot of preparations of sleepless nights of hardwork, dedication and passion towards it. We will never leave any work half done abruptly, for that this is an example. The final scores of the competition was consolidated by the cumulative scores of the 1st and 2nd rounds. #Finally my team (Team #HORNET) secured #4th place in the competition and shared by each and every team members of it equally for the work contributed by them to the best outcome in the competition. Many more chances to come, this is the first and best experience for my team and myself. I promise you all that this won't be last chance for us and better opportunities are yet to come. So me and my team will come back with a #ferocious #roar next time and bang on the competition.

Effectiveness = achieved outcome / (time + effort)I have been diving into our core values and looking to simplify and define fully what they mean for anyone who join the team.Do you think this equation give a clear representation of effectiveness?By the getting my pilots license to fly the plane in the pic is on my vision board and it can be a great reminder to stay effective so I can make it a reality.

What a week - growing the team, my first ARPAS-UK AGM, quotes and proposals out the door, more speaking confirmed, and flying to San Diego tomorrow.Great catch-up yesterday with those who went to the ARPAS AGM, I learned a lot, and have many notes to go through on the plane tomorrow. A shame we didn't get to talk about risk quantification, but I look forward to the webinar. Next week I'm looking forward to Xponential and all the catch-ups planned, plus carving out a bit of Jiu-Jitsu time with one of the top guys in the sport.Don't forget if you know any UAV pilots in Scotland, or up North then get them to send a CV into ukpilots@consortiq.com (Note: I am not doing the hiring so don't ask me). #dronepilot #xponential2024
