Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Whenever I build and run my games, they're extremely glitchy/laggy, but when I just test them normally, they're perfectly fine.

Is there any particular reason for this, and will it be that way when I've uploaded it to newgrounds?

        • October 13, 2011 at 2:15 PM

Have you tried with a new application with just one object in it? Is that still slow? The Flash environment is slower than the c++ one, this is not something Clickteam can do anything about. You must just make sure you're not doing things that is unneccessary heavy, like running alot of fastloops, using huge graphics etc..

          • October 14, 2011 at 7:01 AM

Yeah, there's not too much of a difference.

It's not the whole game that lags. It's the controls/sound effects.

And there are just some things that happen completely differently, for no reason. For example, when I test the game in TGF2, the music plays and continues to play forever, but when I test the SWF, every time you die the music restarts.

The music plays at the start of the frame, and there are no other conditions for it, so I don't see how dying could affect it... it has nothing to do with it.

            • October 16, 2011 at 7:29 AM

So, I really can't upload any of my games anywhere, unless this is fixed. Does no one know what's wrong?

              • October 20, 2011 at 3:03 AM

Okiedokey, guess I'll pass up buying MMF2 afterall.

Please login to see this link.

When I click build and run with this game, the controls become less responsive, and the sound effects are all delayed.

I've had much more significant errors on other games as well, like when I tell it to destroy everything on screen when the player dies, half of the things it destroyed don't disappear from the screen, even though they were destroyed.

                    • October 20, 2011 at 5:26 AM

Hopefully someone will dig into your file as it must be some of the eventing style your using that's causing the problems.

As you can see by other games built with the software you can get better results with it then what you have been getting.

Sorry thats not much help but I don't have time right now to debug what you got going on here.

                      • October 20, 2011 at 6:02 AM

It actually runs and plays fine for me when I build it. Some of the events could be optimized, but I will look over it some more in the morning when I get some time. Is this normal? - Clickteam Community Hub (6)

Yeah, I don't have time right now (gonna shower and go sleep) but tomorrow I'll take a look and optimise your code if you need it. If it builds fine for me as well, there is a good chance there is a bug with the newgrounds edition, as I (and StephenL above me) are using full versions with the SWF Exporter addon.

                          • October 20, 2011 at 8:32 AM

Haha, that's fine, as long as I get it fixed in the next couple days, while the thought of buying it is still fresh in my dad's mind. I just don't want to waste money on the full version, if this ends up being unfixable for some reason.

It could have something to do with my computer, or the newgrounds edition, like Jacob said, as it's happened with all of my games.
