The Mesa County Commission today gave Department of Human Services Executive Director Tracey Garchar until January to prove he can work with Chairwoman Rose Pugliese.
Commissioners appeared this morning to be poised to fire Garchar, who has headed the department for nearly five years, but by afternoon had changed their tune and placed him on an unspecified improvement plan.
